「註冊專門行業承造商制度」 2025 年 1 月起新增「懸空式棚架」為指定行業

To all Contractors under Group M1 and M2,

Since January 1, 2025, the Registered Specialist Contractor System (the RSTCS) has been implemented for contractors specialising in "truss-outscaffolding" for maintenance and renovation projects.  I am writing to solicit your cooperation in urging your subcontractors to register under the RSTCS.

The Construction Industry Council, with the Development Bureau, the Labour Department, and the Occupational Safety and Health Council, has launched various measures to enhance construction safety in the industry.  This initiative is supported by the Employees' Compensation Insurance Residual Scheme Bureau Limited (ECIRSB) and the Property Management Services Authority (PMSA).  As of January 1, 2025, it is mandatory to employ specialist "truss-out scaffolding" contractors under the RSTCS for government public works contracts (including term maintenance contracts).

Several truss-out scaffold companies have applied for and registered as specialist "truss-out scaffolding" contractors under the RSTCS.  This enhances their professional image and allows them to enjoy exclusive premium discounts under the Employees' Compensation Insurance Residual Scheme, significantly reducing labour insurance costs.  It also ensures compliance with legal requirements for safe and compliant operations.
